Woman born in historic home turns 90Published 09/01/09
Doris Hammond Birx returned on a recent Saturday to the spot where she began 90 years ago, the Benson-Hammond House. Birx, the last surviving person born in the historic home, sat at a picnic table on Aug. 15 about 100 feet away from the sea of parking lots at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport.
