Officer who shot man identifiedMILLERSVILLE - County police have identified the officer who shot a man Saturday night during a violent struggle alongside Route 4 just inside the Prince George's County line. Officer Joshua Binner, with the department for two years and assigned to Southern District patrol services, had stopped a stolen Chevrolet van at about 6:15 p.m. after he said he saw Demetrius Kendell Thompson, 41, of Lothian commit a traffic violation in Anne Arundel County, police said.
