Historic site gets help with treesPublished 10/11/09
For once, not seeing the forest for the trees was beneficial.

About 35 volunteers did work yesterday on Rockbridge Academy’s historic Belvoir property in Crownsville.In fact, the 35 arborists who volunteered yesterday to spruce up Rockbridge Academy's historic Belvoir property in Crownsville didn't see just "trees" at all - they saw a copper beech, weeping cherries and a persimmon. Belvoir was selected for the 2009 Maryland Arborist Day, and as such had dozens of experts on hand to plant trees, get rid of invasive vines, install lightning protection and provide general maintenance to the property.
