EDGEWATER - Two dogs were rescued from a two-alarm blaze at an Edgewater home last night, county fire officials said.
Firefighters were called to 2217 Shore Drive near Mayo Road just after 10 p.m., said Battalion Chief Steve Thompson, a county Fire Department spokesman.
Crews found a two-level home burning with heavy flames showing and called for a second alarm. It took 66 firefighters about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control, Thompson said.
