WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Frank Kratovil was one of 39 Democrats who voted against the health care reform legislation which narrowly passed in the House of Representatives on Saturday.
Kratovil represents the 1st Congressional District and is a member of the "Blue Dog Coalition," a group of Democrats self-styled as fiscal hawks. In the months before the vote, the congressman expressed concerns about a rushed timetable for debate as well as a lack of cost control measures and rural access.
