All six of the deaths occurred over the past four weeks and involved adults with underlying health conditions, official said.
Three were from the Baltimore metropolitan region, two from the western part the state and one from Southern Maryland.
The state’s tally of 19 deaths also includes 18-year-old Walter Brooks Jr., an Anne Arundel Community College student who died from the illness last month.
