In an effort to present a contrasting image of Islam than the ones currently playing out in the media, the Islamic Society of Annapolis bonded Thursday night over cake, cookies and fellowship.
Leaders from nearby churches stopped by the Islamic Society building off St. Stephens Church Road for an informal, interfaith dialogue.

In a thousand word essay in the Baltimore Sun (which saw fit to print it) devoted mostly to criticizing the Army's failure to catch Nidal Hasan, or explaining away his horrific massacre of fellow soldiers (a massacre which was, as he describes, "disappointing") Mr. Kharma does identify this precept which I suppose all non-Muslims are supposed to rely on:
"The Quran clarifies that "if anyone slew a person; unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land, it would be as if he slew the whole people" (5:32)."
Now let us segregate ourselves according to our religion, as Mr. Hasan teaches us.
