ANNAPOLIS - A body found on a quiet south county beach Friday afternoon has been identified as a kayaker who disappeared two weeks ago, state Department of Natural Resources Police officials said yesterday.
Jerard "Jerry" Robert Welsh, 49, who lived alone near Annapolis, went missing Nov. 3.
A woman walking the shoreline of Beverly-Triton Beach Park in Mayo discovered a body on the sand near the waterline.
A good Samaritan on a sailboat last saw Welsh kayaking off the mouth of Oyster Creek, near Highland Beach just south of Annapolis.
