Heavy rain caused at least three car crashes on Route 50, Interstate 97 and Generals Highway this morning as commuters headed to work.
At about 7 a.m., a car flipped over on Route 50 eastbound at the exit to Cape St. Claire, said Trooper Pat Lane with the Maryland State Police. One person was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries, said Division Chief Michael Cox for the county Fire Department.
Then at 7:15 a.m., there was a minor accident on Route 50 westbound at the ramp to I-97 north.
