Realtors upbeat on influx of BRAC families

Most planners agree there won't be many sectors of the local economy untouched by the sweeping changes of BRAC.

It's certainly going to have a rejuvenating effect on the housing market, said Robert Johnston, vice president of government affairs for the county Association of Realtors.

"Really, the only thing that's missing to get us going again is a few more buyers," he said. "And this should provide it for us."

Hopefully better class of people will be moving to Crofton. And Severna Park, you know there is so much blight and poverty there. And you know there are so many rednecks in Edgewater I am shocked people want to live there.

Why does that sound strange ? Do these people not fit the profile of the type of person a realtor deems suitable for life in Edgewater ?
