Indian Creek English teacher Marybeth Duckett required all of the students in the English classes to memorize two poems and recite them to their classmates at the "Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest," and senior Neena Boyle was no exception.
But after winning the school's contest and then taking first place at the county contest on Jan. 12, Neena is hoping to take her performances all the way to the national competition.
"I'm definitely proud to have made it this far," she said.
"No one from Indiana Creek has (reached) this far....
