SHADY SIDE - In the midst of the snowstorm, county firefighters fought a blaze that consumed a house in Shady Side early Saturday morning.
The two-alarm blaze was called in at 1:25 a.m., county fire officials said. Firefighters arrived to find the house, at the intersection of Shady Side and Dent roads, engulfed.
A second alarm was called, and 86 firefighters fought the fire for an hour. The house was a total loss, fire officials said.
A female owner of the house escaped unharmed but her dog died in the fire.

What is wrong with people? Everyone is just looking for a fast buck and a free ride.
