Really Lame response - 2010-03-03 23:04:26
These legislators de-regulated and let the predators loose on a monpolistic Market. The PSC failed to monitor the switch to a competitive market and literally gave away constomer assets and stood silent while Constellation Energy absorbed all BGE assetsincluding the nuclear power plant at Calvert Cliffs. The State and the PSC failed the people of MD in this de-regulation process and now they can't even agree on how to protect the public going forward. Lame excuses for weak legislation to have the PSC "advertise" rates. The least the PSC can do is a chart of comparative rates for the public review. And keep the web site up to date. Someone has to start remembering that government is supposed to be the bulwark against tyranny. Corporate america is building empires ruled by little emperors and their pathetic puppets while the power of the people is being disrespected by elected officials and government employees alike. PS the cheapest electricity in the country is still regulated and people are getting along just fine without the free market false promises.
