'Idol' rocks with talent

Annapolis has talent. That was abundantly evident at the 2010 edition of "Annapolis Idol" held Sunday night at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie.

More than 220 people came out to cheer on their favorites during the three-hour event, an annual fundraiser for the nonprofit Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center.

A countywide series of auditions at TK Sharkey's, Ebb Tide, Heroes, Stan & Joe's, Mike's Crab House, Castlebay and The Greene Turtle culled a swarm of hopefuls down to 10 contestants, each a potential headliner possessing a powerful set of roof-rattling pipes.

I just found Stratakis' YouTube channel. Her voice is absolutely incredible and has moved me to tears! I'm pretty sure that I was in the same driver's ed class with her... I wish you all the best!
