COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Four members of the Naval Academy Class of 2008 have been indicted on charges of killing protected birds in Florida.
The four, plus another man, were indicted on Wednesday, according to federal records, on charges of unlawfully killing migratory birds. They face up to six months in prison and $15,000 fines.
According to court records, the graduates, who are stationed in Florida for pilot training, are Ensigns Cullen M. Shaughnessy, 23, Joseph W. Gursky, 24, Alexander B. Wilhelm Jr., 25, and Mark L. McClure, 24.
