The third of four boys, Josiah played county football for the Gambrills Odenton Recreation Council for several years. A running back, he was team captain his freshman and sophomore years. He put every sinew and muscle into the effort. During the 2007 county championship game at the Navy Marine Memorial Stadium, he scored the winning touchdown.
But, it came with a price. The other team piled on.
