FOR THOUSANDS of years, the technology of toll roads (and bridges) has been about the same - someone standing by the roadside with his palm out, perhaps backed up by a few soldiers with spears (or, later, state troopers with guns). Find Us On Facebook
Technology to avoid the delays of vehicle-by-vehicle toll collection - namely the optional E-ZPass system - is available and slowly coming into use. But, of course, there's a long wait between the arrival of any new technology and the government making effective use of it. Still, this state is at least starting to consider taking full advantage of the latest advances to reduce the endless waits at...
