Often, there are traffic backups that block the intersection at Legion and Virginia Street. Drivers simply stop in the driving lane and wait for someone to pull out of a parking space in front of the post office. Some people try making U-turns to park at the curb across the street.
Of course, when I was fortunate enough to get a parking spot in the middle of such turmoil, I noticed a woman in a car that had not moved from a parking space in front of the door for nearly 30...
