Anne Arundel County's economic future - like that of the state - is tied to high-tech development. And given the county's location and immediate national needs, homeland security is the likeliest avenue for that development. Still, it took some daring for the county, three years ago, to try to capitalize on the opportunity by setting up the Chesapeake Innovation Center in a 24,000-square-foot building in Parole.
