State's Attorney Frank Weathersbee has served in the State's Attorney's Office for 30 years, the last 18 as top prosecutor. He has been re-elected three times, showing that he has had the confidence of voters who have depended on him to put criminals behind bars. As he seeks his fifth term, the Democrat is facing a worthy Republican opponent who has worked in the same courtrooms, albeit on the opposite side.
