FOREVER? - At this point, it's almost sad when the U.S. Postal Service comes up with a good, customer-pleasing idea.
That's because it's usually an idea that a competitive private business would have had decades ago - and because it's now far too late to regain countless customers lost to e-mail and private delivery companies.
Along with recommending a 2-cent increase in the cost of mailing letters - bringing it to 41 cents - the independent Postal Regulatory Commission is pushing "forever" stamps. New first-class postage would not show a monetary value and would remain valid permanently, no matter how much rates...
