Our Say:Compromise on Dobbins Island should be soughtPublished 04/20/07
Calmer voices may be prevailing in the dispute between David Clickner, who wants to build a home on Dobbins Island, and the Magothy River Association, which wants to stop him. The two sides have agreed to a timeout to see if a compromise can be reached. Court challenges and hearings will be postponed until at least July. Temporary truces like this are always a good idea - and sometimes lead to amicable resolutions. Resolving the differences of the two sides may still be a long shot, but we applaud the attempt.
