Daily market reports a bad fit for an afternoon newspaperPublished 07/22/07
A reader had just listened to Neil Cavuto, a commentator on the Fox News cable channel, challenge listeners to produce a front page that reported Wall Street’s record session on July 13. The commentator theorized that, despite the economy’s success, President Bush wouldn’t get any credit for something positive. The reader called and asked why the story didn’t appear on the front page of The Capital. It also didn’t appear on the front pages of either of the morning newspapers in the local market.
