As a recent editorial on the National Sailing Hall of Fame (The Capital, March 7) said, let's all take a deep breath - and have a reasonable discussion of the proposal to put the museum at City Dock on the site of the Captain Burtis House. Find Us On Facebook
The policy of the Ward One Residents Association, of which I am a past president, has always been to oppose making the downtown a generic event venue. It puts too great a strain on the delicate balance of residential and business uses there.
