Our Say: Bad decision on tech tax dogs legislature

Last year's legislative special session was supposed to get the state's serious fiscal problems off the table for 2008. It was not supposed to produce this, from a letter titled "Tech Businesses Welcome in the Commonwealth of Virginia":

"I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to relocate your business to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia has consistently been rated one of the most business friendly states in the nation in independent assessments, including receiving Forbes magazine's top ranking for the last two years."
