Mr. O'Connor's home was one of three destroyed in a late-night fire on Sunday. Several other homes were damaged by the intense heat, but at least no one was seriously hurt.
It took nine minutes for city firefighters to reach the scene from the Eastport station and another three minutes to put water on the flames. Residents thought it took 30 minutes, not 12 - but time...
