As long as this country is spending billions on infrastructure in the name of economic stimulus, it should be doing more to spruce up its startlingly down-at-the-heels front lawn: the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Find Us On Facebook
As noted on the Web site of the Trust for the National Mall - the nonprofit organization that raises funds to back up the National Park Service's efforts - the Mall, which gets some 25 million visitors a year, has about $350 million in deferred maintenance.
