With 19,000 unemployed people in the county, the expo's message to the council is pretty clear: A no vote will...

..That pseud-job-fair was nothing more than a SNAKE-OIL non-hiring device by Mills & Cordish. . . . It preyed on us living in the county - local yokels - to mount a hiring wish. . . .So what.!! . . .Slots are NOT a right there in the County. . Not a right there absolutely.! . . . Money .$. . . $. . Drives Mills and Cordish to ruin our local lives. . . . . . . ZONING needs to benefit the county citizens; . . NOT corporate payrolls that destroy a QUALITY of LIFE..... .. ..Slots change this quality.. .. . . Must we...?? . ??

Innacurate Hatchet Job - 2009-11-16 16:56:32

Once again, the Capital has done a 180 from its March 16th "our say" column which stated that the County Council should not grant zoning if they did not think Arundel Mills was the intent of the voter. What changed since then? Maybe the promise of business deals? This column states that Trish Johnson is Cohen's replacement...not true, she was Ed Reilly's replacement, and she never indicated she was leaning one way or another, nor did Ed Middlebrooks. This borders on desperation.

Come and go - 2009-11-16 14:03:26

I guarantee Dec.7th will come and go and slots will still be up in the air.AA County Council couldnt make a timely decision if someone made it for them.It will be one excuse after another. We wont see slots in AA County for a long time. And I'd be shocked to see them in any county in Md. anytime soon.
