Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., said of the health care summit that " I don't expect much out of it - if Republicans - repeat a lot of stuff we've heard for the past six months."
That "stuff," in contrast to bills in Congress, includes measures that would actually reduce the cost of health care by enacting tort reform and stimulating keen competition for health care insurance dollars by allowing purchase across state lines.
No one would recommend that casualty insurers be required to write coverage on an automobile after it was "totaled" in a collision because premiums...
