Maryland’s attorney general plans to sue the Army for failing to adequately clean up environmental contamination at Fort George G. Meade.
Attorney General Doug Gansler officially notified the Army on Tuesday of his intent to sue. He has now has 90 days to file the actual lawsuit, which would be filed under a federal law called the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
In a release, Mr. Gansler said the Army hasn’t complied with cleanup orders from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
