It doesn't always pay to strike while the iron is hot. Wait, it might get even hotter. Just ask Steven Pilipauskis Jr., a 15-year-old South River High School sophomore. Steven is a deer hunter, name the weapon and he uses it. And obviously effectively. When he had just entered his tree stand in Edgewater off Mill Swamp Road, he spied a fine 6-point buck, and as he readied to send an arrow its way, he spotted more movement. He paused, noticed an even better buck behind it. He dispatched the arrow at a bit under 25 yards - and after tracking the game for about an hour he had the best buck of his days afield thus far.
