Chase for yellow perch on-again, off-againPublished 03/17/05
As the weather eases a bit, a few more fishermen are wetting their hooks with varying degrees of success. However, the yellow perch run really isn't much though there have been some scattered catches - among them a 15-incher taken by Leroy Halle III of Towson at Joppatowne. Water temperatures are getting into the mid-40's, which bodes well for perch chasers so the weekend could be fairly good depending on the weather. Thus far things have been like a see-saw - a few good days start things perking, then colder days slow the run. And that's the way it has been; on again and off again.
