Bay water temperatures continue their slide rather gradually, and rockfish have become more active in more shoal waters as they prepare for winter. Blues of the upper bay show signs of packing up and heading south though more than a few are still around. If you think the bluefish have gone because you're not catching them where you were a short while back, try trolling deeper with small spoons or surgical hoses. Many anglers tell me these fish are moving closer to the bottom.
