If late fall Chesapeake fishing holds true to its past, check your mid-bay charts.
North of the mouth of the Patuxent River, get a read on the waters just off the LNG plant - better known by those of the mid and lower bay as the Gas Docks. Look for edges of 30 to 40 feet depths. Make notes.
If you have a trailerable boat, want to charter a fishing trip, or can afford to make the long fuel-guzzling run this could well be a fish-catching standby while waiting for the expected arrival (though not guaranteed) of hefty sea-run stripers.
