Just when you think you've got all corners covered and you figure you know what fish will want next, along comes a day like this past Thursday. Logic goes out the window with no rhyme, no reason. Alan Doelp of Linthicum and I joined Lenny Rudow of Edgewater for a short day of jigging just off the mouth of the South River where Lenny had recently uncovered a cache of rockfish. Rudow's son David had surprisingly landed a small sea trout there, the first I've heard of in the upper bay this year.
