Tennis: County advances two teams in USTA League ChampionshipsPublished 09/07/08
Two county teams advanced in the recent USTA League Championships. Keith Misner's 2.5 team won the Sectional Championships in Newport News, Va., last month. The Anne Arundel County team beat teams from Winchester, Va., and Montgomery County. Against the Virginian team, Misner's team won two out of three in singles and doubles, and they beat Montgomery County in all three matches. The Anne Arundel team will represent the Mid-Atlantic Section in the National Championships in Las Vegas on Oct. 3-5.
