With Chesapeake Bay water temperatures already slipping below 80 degrees in some places, we can expect catching to gradually improve from now on. It already improved for Baltimorean Hank Paine who took a 39-inch striper while live-lining at the Bay Bridge, also for Joey Washington of Bowie who while jigging a Meushaw jig of white reeled in a 5-pound, 3-ounce Spanish mackerel - and he had a 14-inch bluefish on the metal jig of that tandem rig to make for an unusual doubleheader. Both catches were made near the Eastern Stone Pile. And the Department of Natural Resource's Keith Lockwood reports Josh Shenot was live-lining...
