The Combo teams from Anne Arundel County were a force to be reckoned with this year at the USTA Maryland Combo Championships at Truxtun Park in Annapolis. Last year, only three teams from the county participated and only Karen Quandt's 5.5 women's team won. This year, three teams from Anne Arundel were crowned champions at 5.5 Women (Jennifer Cohen and Stacia Bontempo), 5.5 Men (Tom Walsh), and 7.5 Women (Mylene Kempers), while two the 6.5 teams came in second in their flights. Tom Walsh organized the county's first Men's Combo League this year and Mary Gray Sachtjen and Kim Von Paris organized the women's teams. Find Us On Facebook
