Outdoors: Tough to get read on fishy conditionsPublished 11/06/08
Bay water temperatures are plummeting, they're now getting down to the mid to low 50s, but despite the fast cooling waters and what the calendar informs us, there's still something missing. And, it's not striped bass. Missing is a bit of continuity; fishing conditions continually change on a day to day basis. It's difficult indeed to get a handle on the situation, we need a string of several good days to assist in understanding a pattern reliable enough that we can plan ahead - at least a few days ahead.
