(Yampa River, CO)– I don’t know if I’ll ever fully appreciate the majestic expanse of the West, much less the raw, secretive beauty of its mountain trout streams. Once-a-decade visits don’t foster such depth of knowledge. Yet, the lore of fly fishing these sweet waters is well-chronicled, even to this salt-encrusted flatlander.
