With the 34th Annapolis 10-Mile Run looming on Aug. 30th, it's worth a look back at how things were in 1982 when the seventh A10 was staged and who were the movers and shakers that formed the backbone of the race. I was able to get some insights by picking the brain of 1982 race director John Gudas. One highlight was getting to use a "State" computer to enter registrants and create a master list that enabled accurate scoring of the race within 48 hours of the finish.
