Annapolis race has traveled long road

With the 34th Annapolis 10-Mile Run looming on Aug. 30th, it's worth a look back at how things were in 1982 when the seventh A10 was staged and who were the movers and shakers that formed the backbone of the race. Those volunteer efforts during that formative period helped shape the event we have today.

I was able to get some insights by picking the brain of 1982 race director John Gudas. One highlight was getting to use a "State" computer to enter registrants and create a master list that enabled accurate scoring of the race within 48 hours of the finish.
