The Severn Valley White team, led by Coach Paul Hamilton of Millersville, came close to winning the title, losing 6-2 to Greenspring B in the final at the Orchard Tennis Club. This ended a successful 9-3-3 season for the Severn Valley team. The road to the finals included a first round win over Carroll 5-3, a dramatic come from behind 5-3 win over Greenspring A, and a 6-2 semifinal win over Howard B.
