It's not that I don't appreciate the work of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission. But sitting in a stifling conference room while coastal fisheries managers and biologists debate whether menhaden are overfished would prove too painful. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. And given the ASMFC's track record on bunker I figured I wasn't missing much anyway. Remember these are the same folks who five years ago turned a deaf ear on 20,000 citizen pleas to place a moratorium on harvesting menhaden. Find Us On Facebook
