Go to any public or private boat ramp, especially over the Fourth of July weekend, and you'll be entertained (or annoyed) by some poor soul destined to make YouTube's "Ramp Follies.'' In the decades launching skiffs and kayaks at scores of ramps throughout the state and region, I've seen some legendary stuff, a handful of which were of my doing.
I'd like to believe most people don't intentionally hog the launch, and would prefer to chalk up their irksome lingering to insufficient grounding in ramp etiquette. But each season I grow slightly more cynical, having witnessed too many instances of rudeness...
