For nearly 20 years, George Bentz and the Pasadena Sportfishing Group have hosted their "Kid's Fishing Derby" to hook kids on fishing. Now called the "Bill Burton Kid's Fishing Derby," this fun tournament will take place on Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Fort Smallwood Park. But there's a slight snag: Bentz needs some help recruiting parents to sign their youngsters up.
Kids will fish from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the youth who reels in the largest white perch and striped bass will each get $200. Second-place winner earns $100 with a third-place fish netting $75. The entry fee is ridiculously...
