The world's attention will focus on Annapolis in November, when the State Department holds negotiations at the Naval Academy aimed at establishing an independent Palestinian state.
As reported by the Associated Press yesterday, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice hopes to use the occasion to resolve the 60-year-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
A Naval Academy spokesman declined to comment, saying academy officials learned of the planned meeting in press reports and have not been briefed.
