CUMBERLAND (AP) - The Celanese made silks for parachutes, the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. was involved on the arsenal end, and the rails brought troops who stopped long enough at the Queen City Station for area children to run and buy cigarettes and sodas in exchange for patches.
The 1940s and World War II will return to the Queen City this November as Cumberland Goes to War.
