Soldier dies of wounds suffered in AfghanistanPublished 03/16/08
An Army sergeant who received the Military Person of the Year Award this month died Friday, two months after he was injured in Afghanistan.
Staff Sgt. Collin J. Bowen had been severely injured in an attack while in the Khowst Province, Afghanistan on Jan. 2. He was taken to the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio Texas, where he later died, Army officials said.
