Developer tied to Baltimore mayor under spotlight

BALTIMORE (AP) - Ronald H. Lipscomb's work can be seen all over town, including two developments that transformed the skyline around Camden Yards, the Baltimore Orioles' retro stadium. But his name surfaced this week for different reasons: as the former boyfriend of Mayor Sheila Dixon, target of a bribery and perjury investigation.

Mr. Lipscomb's company, Doracon Contracting Inc., has played a role as a developer or contractor in dozens of high-profile projects, such as the mammoth Hilton hotel next to the Baltimore Convention Center and the Zenith, a sleek, 21-story luxury apartment building.
