Pa. fisherman found dead in Carroll County pond
MANCHESTER, Md. (AP) _ The Carroll County sheriff's office says the body of a Pennsylvania fishermen was pulled from a Manchester pond in which he had been swimming.
The sheriff's office says 38-year-old James Thomas Merrow III of Hanover, Pa. was fishing at Pine Valley Park Pond Friday evening along with relatives and friends when he went for a swim.
The others in the group called for help after noticing he was missing.
The sheriff's office says the town owns the pond and allows fishing but bans swimming.
